Late Returns

Your kit must be scanned into UPS by 11:59 PM local time on the return dateprinted on your order. The carrier scan is what we go by — not when you claim to have dropped it off. Use the prepaid return label we included in the box.

Grace period

We give you a one-day grace. If the carrier scan happens by 11:59 PM the calendar day after your return date, no fees apply.

Heads-up courtesy

If you let us know at least 24 hours before the return date that you'll be late, the studio may at its discretion waive the Day-2 base fee. Subsequent days still bill at standard rates. If you tell us after the grace period ends, every day counts.

When your late return blocks another customer

Our kits are tightly scheduled. If your late return prevents the next customer's on-time delivery, the studio may need to source a replacement kit from a third party to fulfill their order. The documented cost of that replacement is added to your bill on top of the late fees above. This is an exception to the “cap” nature of late fees and is governed by your Authorization to Charge at checkout.

The damage waiver does not cover late returns

Late return is not a damage event. The $59 waiver does not reduce or eliminate any of the fees above.

What we'll do

Operationally, the studio will:

  • Send you a friendly reminder email on the evening of your return date.
  • Send a “return not yet received” check-in on Day 1 of grace.
  • Send a late-fee notice email on Day 2, with the running total clearly itemized.
  • Escalate to a personal call on Day 4 if we still don't see a scan.
  • Authorize replacement-cost charge on Day 7 with a final written notice 48 hours before the charge is applied.

UPS drop-off help

Your prepaid label is good at any UPS Customer Center, UPS Store, or UPS drop box. We recommend dropping it off inside a manned location and asking for a receipt — that way you have written proof of the scan time.
