We hired Shutter & Sound for our 8/26/23 wedding and they did not disappoint! We had Mike Osowski as the lead shooter and got our highlight video a month to the day after the wedding. I have watched the video so many times already and every time I see it I tear up and my husband does as well. Both shooters showed up on time or early, got plenty of getting ready shots and stayed well into dancing.

V · THE ESSAY
Boston is a city that whispers — redbrick streets, salt air off the harbor, the slow chime of an old church bell. A wedding here doesn't shout for the camera; it asks the camera to listen. We've spent the last decade learning how.
A film you'll want to rewatch. A memory you'll want to live in.

CHAPEL № I
Where bibliophiles, sapiosexuals and history buffs all unite for the most regal of weddings. With its breathtaking architecture and many exquisite indoor and outdoor venues, it's perfect for couples seeking sophistication.

CHAPEL № II
Located in East Boston, Piers Park is a perfect choice for those wanting a wedding ceremony with a view: it provides the perfect glimpse of the Boston skyline and harbor with its sloping waterways.
CHAPEL № III
Beacon Hill is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Boston, and one of the city's most popular destinations for couples looking to take their wedding photos. Beacon Hill features sloping waterways, beautiful gardens and an archaic stone bridge.

CHAPEL № IV
Located in Jamaica Plain, the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is one of the most beautiful spots in Boston for outdoor weddings. The 281-acre botanical garden was the first public arboretum in North America and is a National Historic Landmark.

CHAPEL № V
If you're looking for a place to host your wedding ceremony or reception with breathtaking views and historical significance, Larz Anderson Park is the perfect choice. The park is home to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, a one-of-a-kind venue that allows couples to host their ceremony amid more than 80 vintage cars.

CHAPEL № VI
America's most beloved ballpark, the home of the Red Sox since 1912 and a city landmark on the National Register. Couples who book Fenway exchange vows on the warning track, take their first dance in the State Street Pavilion overlooking the diamond, and leave with a wedding film that absolutely no one else has. The most quintessentially Boston venue we shoot at.

VII · WHY FILM
The videographers at Shutter and Sound will help you remember the best moments of your special day, because you'll hopefully be too sloshed to remember them on your own :D. We use our artistic vision and technical skills to make you and your beloved look amazing while documenting every festivity, from the intense bouquet battle to the disorderly Macarena (jk, that's not a thing anymore, thank God. Actually, we did see it once recently and oh boy do we wish we hadn't. But we digress…).

X · HONEST ANSWERS
Before you write, here are the things couples usually want to know — asked plainly, answered plainly.
THE ANSWER
A $1,500 videographer shoots solo, edits in 8 hours, and delivers in 6 months. We send two filmmakers, edit in 60 to 80 hours, and deliver in 8 weeks. Both produce video. Only one produces a film.
THE ANSWER
Photos are monuments. Films are breath. Photos hang on walls. Films are what you watch on your fifth anniversary to hear your dad's toast again. Different tools, different jobs.
THE ANSWER
Honest answer: no. The film we make is the arc of the whole day — getting-ready light, ceremony, the toasts that made your uncle cry, the last dance. A three-hour cut misses most of what makes a wedding film a wedding film.
THE ANSWER
We take roughly 24 Boston weddings a year, because two of us hand-cut every film. Most 2027 couples book us 10 to 14 months out. June, September, and October are usually the first to sell.
THE ANSWER
Yes — about six weddings a year. Travel is typically an additional flat fee ($600–$1,800 depending on distance). We've shot in Charleston, Highlands, Napa, Newport, and Tulum.
THE ANSWER
We've shot a ceremony in a Nor'easter at the Boston Public Library and it's in our reel. Weather changes the film — it rarely ruins it.

Wedding Videographer · Boston
Hello! I’m a cinematographer/DP from Boston, MA. I studied Avante-Garde Film & Auteurship Cinema at University of Colorado. I’ve been filming professionally for 7 years, and 4 of those have been filming weddings full time. When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll probably find me in the mountains skiing if there’s snow or hiking with my dog Nala.

I’ve had the privilege of capturing over a hundred weddings over the past 3 years. Being able to be a part of so many different types of wedding ceremonies and celebrations over the years has been so rewarding! I am also the father to a wonderfully busy kid who helps me to change up my perspective and see the world in new ways every day. Videography is more than just my job, I also love it as a hobby and when I am not making wedding or corporate videos, I love to mess around with friends helping with YouTube video ideas or short films for fun.
