CHAPEL № I
This famous structure features many breathtaking design elements, like its detailed dome ceiling, mighty colonnade and vast stone staircase. We think you and your beloved will look strikingly presidential under the sun-soaked pillars of the memorial (and the Thomas Jefferson statue agrees).

CHAPEL № II
You'll be blown away by the majesty of this urban park. Meridian Hill Park houses many famous sculptures, but its most breathtaking feature is the Cascading Waterfall, a gorgeous Italian-style fountain that flows over 13 large basins. Don't worry about getting your feet wet — the waterfall has sturdy walkways with beautiful landscaping flanking the sides.

CHAPEL № III
This quaint and elegant domed temple comprises 12 marble columns and is surrounded by tranquil trees. You can celebrate your love at this famous memorial while remembering those it represents.

CHAPEL № IV
Yards Park is spilling with photo opportunities, from its playful water jets to the boardwalk to the iconic contemporary bridge. And if you get hot, you can shimmy into the wading pool to cool off before visiting your next location.

CHAPEL № V
With striking architecture and sophisticated greenery, this neo-Gothic cathedral is fit for kings and queens — bridal tiara, anyone?

CHAPEL № VI
An Embassy Row Beaux-Arts mansion, gifted to the Society of the Cincinnati in 1937 and largely unchanged since. Marble grand staircase, frescoed Key Room ceiling, and a walled formal garden behind. The only address in Washington that turns a wedding into a state dinner — and one of the rare D.C. venues that lets a small film crew work under the chandeliers.

VII · WHY FILM
The videographers at Shutter and Sound will help you remember the best moments of your special day, because you'll hopefully be too sloshed to remember them on your own :D. We use our artistic vision and technical skills to make you and your beloved look amazing while documenting every festivity, from the intense bouquet battle to the disorderly Macarena (jk, that's not a thing anymore, thank God. Actually, we did see it once recently and oh boy do we wish we hadn't. But we digress…).

X · HONEST ANSWERS
Before you write, here are the things couples usually want to know — asked plainly, answered plainly.
THE ANSWER
A $1,500 videographer shoots solo, edits in 8 hours, and delivers in 6 months. We send two filmmakers, edit in 60 to 80 hours, and deliver in 8 weeks. Both produce video. Only one produces a film.
THE ANSWER
Photos are monuments. Films are breath. Photos hang on walls. Films are what you watch on your fifth anniversary to hear your dad's toast again. Different tools, different jobs.
THE ANSWER
Honest answer: no. The film we make is the arc of the whole day — getting-ready light, ceremony, the toasts that made your uncle cry, the last dance. A three-hour cut misses most of what makes a wedding film a film. The shortest option we offer is The Preview.
THE ANSWER
We take 24 D.C. weddings a year, because two of us hand-cut every film. Most 2027 couples book us 10 to 14 months out. May, June, and October are usually the first to sell.
THE ANSWER
Yes — about six weddings a year. Travel is typically an additional flat fee ($600–$1,800 depending on distance). We've shot in Charleston, Highlands, Napa, Newport, and Tulum.
THE ANSWER
We've shot a ceremony in a thunderstorm at the Jefferson Memorial and it's in our reel. Weather changes the film — it rarely ruins it.
