II · The Craft
What a cinematic wedding videographer
actually does differently.
Most wedding video is a record: the camera runs, the day happens, you get the day back at roughly the length you lived it. A wedding cinematographer starts from the opposite end. We shoot for an edit that doesn't exist yet, which changes what gets filmed and how. Composed frames instead of continuous coverage. Lapel and board audio so the vows and the toasts carry the film rather than a music bed. A colour grade applied by hand, frame by frame, instead of a preset dropped over the timeline.
The result is short on purpose. Our films run three to five minutes, and the long-form cuts run fifteen to twenty. That's not a shortcut, it's the whole job: a hundred hours of choosing.
We work this way in every city we serve, with our own cinematographers on every wedding. Nothing is outsourced to a local subcontractor you meet on the morning. See the fifteen cities we film in, or read the wedding videography packages in full.
III · Honest Answers
What couples ask before they book.
- What is a wedding cinematographer?
- A wedding cinematographer films your day the way a film crew would shoot a short: composed frames, real audio, and a story cut in an edit room afterward. The practical difference from straight videography is the edit. A cinematic wedding film is scored, colour-graded and structured, not a chronological record of the day.
- What makes a wedding film cinematic rather than just filmed?
- Three things, and none of them is the camera. Real audio from lapel and board mics so the vows carry. A hand-applied colour grade rather than a preset. And an edit that chooses a shape, which is why our films run three to five minutes rather than an hour.
- How much does a cinematic wedding videographer cost?
- Our wedding films start at $2,900 and most couples land between $3,500 and $6,500 depending on coverage hours, second shooter, and whether they add photography. Every city page on this site lists that city's real package prices.
- How long until we get our wedding film?
- Three to eight weeks, the same window whichever collection you book. Holiday weeks add a week. You get a delivery date the day you sign.
- Where do you film?
- Fifteen US cities: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York City, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. We travel beyond them regularly.
